7 So I went down the double spiral staircase.
The double spiral staircase is a perfect image of the law.
Two spirals, two currents of energy—one ascending, one descending—coil around the same central axis.
They obey the same structure, without ever touching.
This axis is Justice itself: invisible, immobile, inexorable.
8 Those going up and those going down cross paths.
Causes descend into manifestation, effects ascend toward understanding.
They cross in the visible world, in events, in forms, in lives.
Yet their true connection remains hidden from ordinary perception.
9 Without ever seeing each other in the encounter.
One perceives the effect, rarely the cause.
Action and consequence do not recognize each other at the surface of time.
And yet, they are bound by the same law.
Justice stands as the guardian of this invisible geometry, where every cause generates its effect, in exact accordance with the law.
